Since its inception in 1886, the Church of God has been a fast-growing denomination with vision to reach all people of the world. Although it started in an Anglo culture, its missionary vision and burden for the world has served as a catalyst in establishing the Church of God throughout more than 168 countries and territories around the world.

In previous years and as we advance into the 21st century, the mission field has come to our backyard. People from all nations are moving to the United States. The population has hit 300 million with 34.3 million being foreign born in the United States and Canada. The Church of God continues its missionary vision through Multi–Cultural Ministries to meet the ongoing needs and benefits of the church’s multi-cultural language community.

The Church of God continues to organize churches month after month in more than 36 ethnic groups. 60% of all new organized churches in the United States and Canada are ethnic churches.

The Multi-Cultural Ministries Department will continue to make a studied effort to discover unreached peoples groups and to provide Bible Studies, language classes, mission-type churches and ethnic/language fellowship. Its ultimate goal is to form fully organized churches.
